"Innovative Public-Private Partnerships that Promote International Agricultural and Rural Development" Speakers and Panelists
Dr. Albert Ayeni, a graduate of University of lbadan, Nigeria (B.Sc. Crop Science), and Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA (MS., Ph.D.), has many years of research, teaching, extension and administrative experience in weed science and agronomy under tropical and temperate conditions. He is the Africa Regional Programs Coordinator at Rutgers' School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and Associate Director of the Global Institute for BioExploration-Africa (GIBEX-Africa) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
His professional accomplishments include 100 publications in international journals, proceedings, and books; direction of several Ph.D. and other research theses; teaching of weed science and agronomic principles and practices at undergraduate and graduate levels; and linking Rutgers University with African Universities and Research Institutes. In his current position Albert coordinates college-wide collaborations with 10 African countries. He has served as AIARD Awards Committee Chair since 2005.
