"Innovative Public-Private Partnerships that Promote International Agricultural and Rural Development" Speakers and Panelists
Dr. Mpoko Bokanga, Executive Director, African Agricultural Technology Foundation, is a food scientist who has been involved in agricultural research and development for the past 15 years.
Before joint AATF as its first Executive Director, Dr. Bokanga worked as Industrial Development Officer (Agro-Industries) with the Regional Industrial Development Centre of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Abuja, Nigeria. He has also served as a Research Scientist with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), as a Visiting Professor of Food Science at the Alabama A&M University, and as Research Associate with Westreco Inc., a Nestlé Research company based in Connecticut. His research has centered on cyanogenesis of cassava and related food safety issues. He holds a Masters degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Doctorate from Cornell University.
