Kevin M. Cleaver
The World Bank
Dr. Cleaver currently manages staff and activities for the World Bank's Agriculture and Rural Development Department, and heads the World Bank Board of Rural Sector Managers. From July 1, 1997 to March 1, 2002 Dr. Cleaver was a Director in the World Bank's Europe and Central Asia Region, chaired the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) Region's Knowledge Management Committee, and developed knowledge management systems both for his own department and for the ECA region of the World Bank. Dr. Cleaver has worked in the World Bank since 1975, and before working for the Bank was employed by the Ministry of Finance of Zaire and was a university lecturer in economics in Zaire. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University), Masters degrees in International Law and Development Studies (Tufts Universtiy), and a BA degree (University of Pennsylvania).
