Annual Meeting 2004
The 40th Annual Meeting of
The Association for International Agriculture
and Rural Development
"Progress in International Agriculture and Rural Development"
Invitation
It is a pleasure to invite members and speakers to our 40th Annual Meeting of the Association for International Agriculture and Rural Development. Our annual meeting is an opportunity to learn more about issues of the day from very knowledgeable speakers. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet policy makers and others involved in international agriculture and rural development.
At this meeting we aim to develop stronger linkages within the community of individuals who devote their lives to "Progress in International Agriculture and Rural Development," the main theme of this year's annual meeting. We will examine progress in international agriculture and rural development in 2004, focusing on three themes:
Progress from Relief to Development
Progress from Aid to Trade
Progress from Subsistence to Participation in Markets
Our speakers will bring a wealth of experience and information about the selected themes.
If you are not currently a member of AIARD, please consider this as an opportunity to get involved. I encourage current members to join us in what should prove to be a valuable and memorable event.
We look forward to this year's annual meeting being an enjoyable, educational and successful experience. Please make every effort to join us!
