Ms. Nives Mattich has over a decade of international experience in the design, development, and implementation of humanitarian and development projects for USAID throughout Central and Eastern Europe. She has served as Country Representative in Macedonia for the Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI). There, she assisted in the design and development of USAID's Confidence Building Initiative (CBI) aimed at conflict mitigation through the support of community and grassroots activities.
Previously, with the Office for US Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA), Ms. Mattich worked with the Disaster Assistance Response team (DART) in identifying key humanitarian needs and assisting in the development of the US government response to the crisis in the former-Yugoslavia. Currently, Ms. Mattich is a Senior Manager at the International Resources Group (IRG), where she manages the office of Foreign Disaster Assistance IQC, providing project management and technical support to the Relief and Reconstruction Program in the areas of disaster response, transition, and democracy and governance. Ms. Mattich holds an MS in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics, and is proficient in French, Serbo-Croatian, and English.
