Dr. Charles E. Owubah is a regional program leader for World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization operating in over 80 countries. He oversees the acquisition, management, and evaluation of both private and public-funded programs in eight countries in East Africa. Until recently, he was the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for all USAID-funded food security programs in World Vision.
Dr. Owubah received both his MS and Ph.D. in Natural Resource Policy from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, in 1992 and 1999 respectively. While at Purdue, he became a fellow of the Rockefeller Foundation by wining the African Dissertation Internship Award in 1997. Between 1993 and 1995, Dr. Owubah was a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, his home country, where he taught both graduate and undergraduate courses including Resource Policy, and Agro-Forestry Economics.
Since 2002, he has served as a Board Member of the Pinchot Institute for Conservation, a Washington, DC based non-profit organization providing leadership in forest conservation thought, policy, and action.
