Vera Weill-Hallé International Fund for Agricultural Development
Mrs. Weill-Hallé heads the North American Liaison Office of the UN International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). In this role, she represents IFAD before the US Congress and Administration, nongovernmental organizations, the business community, and the media. Mrs. Weill-Hallé also serves as a liaison with organizations of the UN system and has been a member of IFAD's official negotiating team to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, the International Conference on Financing for Development, and the World Summit on Sustainable Development. Mrs. Weill-Hallé has served on the boards of many non-governmental organizations addressing gender and sustainable development. She is currently a board member for Women's EDGE and the Monterrey Bridge Coalition, an Advisory Member of World Women in Defense of the Environment, and a member of the Women's Foreign Policy Group. Mrs. Weill-Hallé holds a BA in Political Science from Baldwin-Wallace College and an MA in International Relations from the George Washington University School of Public and International Affairs. Mrs. Weill-Hallé is originally from Croatia.
